Final outcome of fashion top

The three slides on this page are when my fashion top was finished. The first page is called final outcome this page was asking people different people there opinions of my top. The second page is called evaluation i done an evaluation of the whole folder i done along making my top in this evaluation i just gave comments on each page about what i thought was good about them and how i would improve them. The third page is called pictures this page is just all different angles on my finished top.

Designing for fashion top

These four pages on this slide are all the drawing i done before i finally decided on what design i was making, You can see the process of this on all of these page as it goes from initital ideas, to designs ideas, CAD designs and then the final design.

Fashion top

I made a top in year 12 for one of my project the four slides on this page are all about the planning before making the fashion top. The first page is called design brief and brain storming before i could start making my top i have to some brain storming to see what i wanted to make or who for and who would my inspiration. The second page is called analysis of project and analysis of design this page is about analysing the whole project i am doing analysing things like the price and what will be on my fashion top, analysis of design was analysing things like the how i will break down the making of my top to make sure i get my top to look like the designer i am using for inspiration. The third page is called initial planning grant and analysis of project. Initial planning of grant was about planning how long i thought it would take me to finish all of the work for this project and analysis of project was analysing all of the slides in this project commenting on what i thought was good and how i could improve them. The fourth page is called design specification and product specification to do both of these pages i picked different sub heading and wrote about them to do with the planning of my top and the making of my top.

Opinions and ways in which outcome could be improved

These two slides are called opinions and ways in which outcome could be improved. The page opinion was just getting opinion off other about my dress i asked three question to each person about it and then gave me there honest opinion, the question were things like do you think the dress meet the brief? and what is you favourite part?, to answer these question i asked to family members and two friends. The page ways in which outcome could be improved is just about way in which i personally think different parts of my dress can be improved i picked three parts were i thought needed some improvement and wrote about it.

Working drawing and Evaluation

 

These two slides on this page are called working drawing and final evaluation. Working drawing is my dress i sketch with a pencil and then went over it with a black fine liner then once my dress was made i measure all of the dress then put the measurements on the page. Final evaluation is just evaluating everything you have done in all of my project to my dress, I evaluated all the pages saying how it helped and how i would change things if i had to do it again.

Comerical product and Wearer trials

The two slides on this page are called comparison with a commerical product and wearer trials, comparison with a comerical product is were i compare the product to a product that is already out there and compare things like the fabric and the components of each dress. Wearer trials is were i go someone to model my dress i chose my friend Hannah and ask her to comment on the dress.

Production Plan and costing

The slides on this page are the production plan and costing, the production plan is everything i done to make my dress, How long it took me and how it would be done industry. The costing page is were i worked out how much everything cost me to buy plus how much is cost for labour then make an over all price for the dress.

Prototypes

After getting my paper pattern and now knowing what

type of dress i wanted to make, i firstly done a protoype this is rough reversion of what the dress will look like, it always helps you so if you make any mistake when making it you know how you can change it when making the final version of your dress. I have two prototypes becuase when i first got my paper pattern aftering discussing with my teacher we decided that the paper pattern was very diffcult and with the time space i had i would not of been able to complete it even putting extra hours in. So then i went and brought another paper pattern which was alot better for me.

Designs

This page is the designs i draw leading up to desinging my dress the first two page are initials ideas which are just rough drawing sketches with a samll evaluation on each design. The other three pages are called picture inspiring designs e.g. the the page that has the orange dress on i took a picture of Sarah Jessica Parker and and then a picture of a 70's pattern and draw the dress that Sarah Jessica Parker had on with the 70's pattern on it.

Research Pages

This page is of all the research i done before i started getting ideas for what i wanted to make, as you can see that most of these pages are of Sarah Jessica and Parker and Sex And The City Movie has they are my main theme along side with the retail shop Debenhams and the fashion desiger Halston as he designed most of the dresses in the movie.

This page is what i done before i started making my dress as i had to decide what i wanted to make and who for. So to help me do this i done a design brief about what am making who for and when it will be in shops, I also done some brain storming on the main names that stuck out in my design brief.
